Project Proposal for ArtsWells 2010

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!!

ArtsWells is soliciting for innovative art projects/installations to be carried out/presented at the the 7th annual festival from July 30 – August 2, 2010. We are looking for projects in any media that can be displayed in the spaces we have available. These spaces include many outdoor locations, and some indoor locations. In previous years we have displayed paintings/drawings/photos in one of the venues, we are not doing this again due to our inability to secure, protect or light the work properly. Therefore we are looking for creative projects that can be displayed in non-gallery like settings. We welcome proposals that are interactive, innovative, performative, experiential, educational and any and all things art. The only limitations are the spaces and equipment that we have. Please feel free to contact the festival if you have any questions. Full or partial funding is available for selected projects, in addition to the provision of a festival pass and guest pass. We are also looking for interesting art workshops for the festival; applications for which can be found on www.artswells.com, under the ‘contact’ link.

Project ideas must be received by May 1^st 2010 and must include the following:

1. ARTIST(S) INFORMATION:
   Name, Phone number, e-mail address, and mailing address
2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
   Describe the project you wish to create and what the motivation behind it is – what you hope to accomplish.
3. PROJECT LOGISTICS:
   Explain the project details including how much time is needed for set up, what materials will be used, the amount of the space needed and what kind of space is needed. Any other logistics.
4. BUDGET:
   Submit a budget for Project. Including materials.
