Getting Here

Getting Here

ArtsWells is held in the small town of Wells in the Cariboo Mountains of British Columbia.  Because it is a small, rural town, getting here can be a little more complicated that other places, but it is well worth the effort!

Quesnel is the nearest city, approximately 75km from Wells.  Quesnel has the nearest airport and Greyhound bus station.  For the ArtsWells Weekend, there are many opportunities to ride share.  From Quesnel, the ride opportunities increase, but there are many coming from across British Columbia, Alberta and Washington State.

There is public transit to and from Quesnel on Thursdays.  Details on time and location are available on the District of Wells website. The bus costs $5 each way.

Every year, there is a Facebook page that is created specifically for ride sharing to ArtsWells where you can post requests or offers for rides.  The link will be posted here as soon as it is set up for 2017.

There are a number of ride share board applications and we definitely encourage ride sharing both for the environment and for the friends you will make along the way.  We don’t support a particular ride share site, but if you do, you could also post that to the Facebook page.
